Penguin Parade Visitor Centre – Phillip Island, VIC

UFD in conjunction with Terroir Architects redeveloped the Foodservice and Beverage operations for the iconic Penguin Parade Visitor Centre – Phillip Island, VIC. The design had a key focus on environmental sustainability and as such incorporated key features such as; Reticulated E-Water System, VSD’s, EEV’s and Blygold treatment to the refrigeration plant. Use of Hydrocarbon refrigerant gas used on IGLU refrigeration from Italy. UV employed on the Ecocanopy Exhaust Hoods. The Project also included custom designed heated and refrigerated display cases to showcase food to patrons, along with beer systems and a fully functioning commercial kitchen to support the restaurant and café. The Jaw dropping facility won numerous international and Australian awards and was even featured in the New York Times Magazine. All the staff at UFD view it as a real honour to have worked on such a prestigious project, that gives back to nature.
